This session is a follow-up to our Sharing Sensitive News module which is a required prerequisite (see link below to access this module) Educators will have the opportunity to submit questions in advance and engage in discussion with Inclusion Support Services (ISS) Early interventionists around navigating challenging conversations with families about concerns related to their child’s development.

Participants will learn about:
- Practical strategies to build confidence when having difficult conversations with families
- Tools and approaches to prepare for and conduct meetings when sharing sensitive news
- Resources available to support referrals to community agencies
About the Presenter:
Inclusion Support Services Early Interventionists work collaboratively with educators to build capacity for inclusive practices in early learning environments. Through coaching strategies embedded in daily routines, they support the development of children of all abilities.
By the end of this session, educators will leave with practical strategies when sharing sensitive news with parents/caregivers and a better understanding of the community resources available to support children with special needs.
