Topic Overview

Summary of The POWER OF INTUITIVE ADULT/CHILD INTERACTIONS PART 1 – INTUITIVE DEVELOPMENT: Participants will gain an understanding of the importance of their role and the impact their interactions on children and families. Through practical steps and interactive activities, they will learn how accessing their intuition helps to create reciprocal, empathetic, stimulating interactions and environments to build meaningful relationships & deeper connections. They then are better “attuned” to identify the needs of others and provide the resources/supports more accurately. This means going beyond our usual day-to-day interactions and finding ways to “tune in and tap in” using our intuition while interacting and engaging with others. It may require a shift in our mindset or old ways of doing things to enable innovative ways of connecting to others in non-judgemental, accepting ways where we are explorers in the process and not attached to the outcome. In this 2 part series, participants will gain enriching, interactive, “intuitive development” & “intuitive listening” techniques to assist themselves and children discover the power they hold within to create, discover, articulate and tap into their own intuition by giving them the time, space & freedom to pause, share & respond in a safe, nurturing space to do so. Through this process, children get more in touch with themselves, balance their emotions, enhance creativity & communicate in new & effective ways authentic to who they truly are. In Part 1, educators use practical steps to tap in, enhance their own intuition, understand how it speaks to them, and take action trusting their intuitive promptings to apply in their interactions with others. This “going within first” helps participants to learn the importance of staying in touch with self before assisting others to do the same, invoking mutual intuitive awareness, internal gathering of information, identification, open dialogue, inner wisdom and mindfulness through contemplation and thoughtfulness. This gives children access to their own “north star”, builds self-esteem, self-worth, reduces anxiety and promotes trust & belief in themselves. In these evolving, organic experiences/interactions, educators learn to intuitively listen, facilitate & learn alongside the child as they explore & expand new realms in their inner world of inquiry and self discovery of the knowledge they hold within. While using the “Intuitive Model, and their own intuition, educators can reflect, validate and support children meeting them where they are at on their intuitive learning journey and are better “equipped” to face any challenge or adversity, have clarity to make difficult decisions, or in potential conflict or stressful situation in their life and the life of others.

Summary of THE POWER OF INTUITIVE ADULT/CHILD INTERACTIONS PART 2 EMOTIONAL BALANCE: When supporting families & children, it’s so important for educators/ caregivers/leaders to practice self care and heal and balance their emotions first to ensure they are operating at their best to then be able to serve and support others. While using the “Steps to Emotional Balance,” and their intuition, educators/adults can go within and identify and work through any emotions as a part of their own healing and gain self acceptance as they release any past wounds, fears or doubts that may be holding them back from happiness or living life as their true authentic self. After healing and balancing their own emotions, this both empowers and better equips them to be able to help others more effectively, especially in helping children to identify and balance their “BIG” emotions. It also increases empathy and compassion while also having the ability to maintain healthy boundaries & detachment. Through emotional balance and use of the “Intuitive Model” working in tandem, educators gain practical steps to help themselves and others access their own intuitive knowledge. This also serves as a guide or “bridging” in the co-regulation process supporting children’s ability to then move to self-regulation and the development of self reliance, self confidence and empowerment, once they are able to identify, work through and have their emotions validated. These tools and resources are already within us, we just need to “tune in and tap in” to access them. As we look at all parts of self, our strengths and the areas we need to work on or what is unknown to us, we learn to accept all parts of self which leads to more acceptance of others. Emotional balance helps “anchor” us and gives us clarity to make sound decisions, remain calm in stressful or challenging situations and any face and overcome adversity. Educators become more “equipped” in adverse situations as they have gained a better understanding of emotional balance and how it relates to self which in helps them better understand and support others, who then feel validated and heard giving them a sense of belonging. This contributes to overall positive emotional and mental well being, deepens connections and creates more meaningful relationships with parents/children and families. As educators continue to develop their own intuitive knowledge, & balance their emotions, they can share this knowledge with others in reciprocal ways, uplifting communities as a whole and enriching connections in mutually beneficial ways, lead by each child/person’s pace, and developmental level. In summary, having emotionally healthy, intuitive aware educators/leaders in programs, can have a profound, positive impact on the overall emotional and mental well being on families/communities as a whole at a time when the world faces ongoing challenges and crisis through the pandemic. It heals and empowers individuals to take back some control of their life and re-build healthy sustainable foundations and systems to not just survive, but thrive in times of adversity!
