Healthy teeth help children eat, speak, and feel good about themselves. When children have problems with their teeth, it can cause pain, make it hard to eat or talk, and even lead to missing school. Dental screening can identify issues with a child’s teeth before they become urgent.
After a brief presentation, families will have the opportunity to meet with the team for a quick dental screening to assess the children’s oral health.
A dental screening will help find dental problems so children can receive the right treatment. It can also be the first step to receiving assistance for urgent dental problems through the Healthy Smiles Ontario (HSO) program, or receiving preventive dental care at one of York Region’s Public Health dental clinics.
Mark your calendars for Thursday August 20th, 9:00-11:00 a.m.
Open to all families with children 1-6 years. No pre-registration required.
