  Newpark Children’s Centre is a not-for-profit childcare centre in Aurora.
We have been providing the community with high quality early learning and care for children 0-4 years old, for over 30 years.

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual for a full time permanent position.
Successful candidates should meet the following qualifications;
• current criminal reference check (6 months or newer)
• up to date immunizations
• valid Standard First-Aid and CPR-C certificate
• current membership (in good standing) with the College of Early Childhood Educators
• working knowledge of emergent curriculum and HDLH
• experience working with children in a licensed setting
• genuine love and commitment to their profession and work with young children and their families
• ability to work as part of a committed and dedicated team

Program Staff – Community Action Program for Children (CAPC) – Vaughan Location

A part-time position is available with the Community Action Program for Children (CAPC) in our Vaughan locations.  The position  will assist in the planning and implementation of our weekly early years programs, serving families with children 0-6 years of age.  Ideally, candidates will have previous experience working with families and/or young children or be a Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE).  The position will be approximately 10 hours per week.  Applicants must have a car and be willing to travel to multiple sites in the Vaughan area.  Applicants must be fluent in English.  Speaking/understanding any of the following will be an asset: Mandarin, Cantonese, Tamil, Farsi, Arabic, Persian, Russian, or Spanish.

  • Proof of 2 step T.B. skin tests  or one 2 step T.B. skin test plus a chest x-ray
  • Proof of Rubella and Tetanus immunization
  • Annual Flu vaccination date or a letter from the individual indicating exclusion for personal reasons
  • Varicella (chickenpox) and Hepatitis B immunizations (if susceptible)
  • Valid* Standard First Aid & CPR-C (Infant & Child) Certificate
  • If applicable, proof of Early Childhood Education Diploma or alternative approved qualifications (original certificates must be presented)
  •  If applicable, proof of registration, in good standing, with the College of Early Childhood Educator
  • Watch the AODA video (required training)
  • Mandatory Safety & Health Awareness Training – certificate proof of training required

*There must be at least 3 months validity remaining on the First Aid/CPR-C certificate upon employment. The certificate must be a training course approved by WSIB

York Child Development & Family Services Inc. is currently recruiting staff for our Before & After school programs.  We also need Supply staff for all our centres.

All programs are located in Newmarket.  We offer competitive wages, a comprehensive benefit package (minimum number of hours required) and a shift premium for staff working before and after school.
