CAPC and York Region Public Health are happy to announce the upcoming Nutrition workshop: Feeding young children – strategies for feeding toddlers and preschoolers

This funded workshop is for families/caregivers of toddlers and preschoolers and will take place at our CAPC Markham, Georgina and Vaughan locations.

Topics will include: age appropriate foods, tips for mealtime struggles, supporting and encouraging a positive relationship with food, snacking and reducing picky eating.

Target age range 12 months to 3 years

This registered workshop will be facilitated by one of the Nutrition staff from York Region Public Health.

Rachel Morgan is a Registered Dietitian with York Region Public Health and has been working in community nutrition for over 10 years. Rachel is passionate about feeding little ones and aims to make mealtimes a joyful experience for all. Rachel has worked with many community groups to support parents, teachers and school staff with feeding kids. Rachel loves seeing kids enjoy food as much a she does.
Heather Melrose-Case is a Nutrition Educator with York Region Public Health for over 20 years with a focus on feeding families. Heather loves food and learning to cook new recipes but doesn’t love dishes. Heather has enjoyed facilitating cooking workshops with different community groups as well as supporting York Region schools to run successful Student Nutrition Programs.
