Candidates must be available to work a split shift in a before and after school program. Most positions include our full-time benefit package.

POSITION SUMMARY
To ensure operational and curriculum requirements are met in compliance with all Ministry and organizational guidelines. To ensure the delivery of a developmentally appropriate, play based program by applying specialized skills and knowledge related to early childhood education. To effectively collaborate and communicate with other employees, families and outside agencies in an effort to properly support the needs of individual child.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
• Diploma in Early Childhood Education (or approved equivalency) from a recognized college or university (if applicable).
• A recent Police Vulnerable Sector Check
• Health assessment and record of immunization, as outlined by legislation.
• Up-to-date registration with the College of ECE’s (if applicable).
• Up-to-date certification in CPR-C and Standard First Aid (training provided upon selection if required).
• Knowledge of the developmental needs of children and demonstrated ability to apply this knowledge.
• Experience with program design and implementation, preferably play/inquiry based with the use of pedagogical documentation.
• Ability to communicate effectively and establish appropriate relationships with families, caregivers and other professionals.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and maintain professional disposition.
• Have the physical and emotional stamina to supervise children in a variety of settings including outdoor public spaces.

We are seeking an enthusiastic Full Time RECE for our Child Care Centre located in Richmond Hill, ON

Responsibilities and Duties
To plan and implement an age appropriate program meeting the requirements of “How Does Learning Happen”
To have a working knowledge of the Child Care and Early Years Act, and be in compliance with the policies and procedures of the Agency
To share in the care and housekeeping tasks of the Centre
To work as a member of a team which includes other staff, parents, community and the Agency

Qualifications and Skills
ECE Diploma
Registered with the College of ECE’s
Recent Vulnerable Sector Check
Valid Standard First Aid/CPR Certificate
Strong knowledge of child development
Strong emergent programming and communications skills
Up to date immunizations
Experience with Preschoolers
Must be able to work all shifts between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
Comfortable interacting with and supporting families and community members
Physically able to lift and/or assist with the moving of a child
Physically able to actively participate in the outdoor program in inclement weather
